3. Delivery
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery costs depend on the product, delivery postcode and type of vehicle required.
We offer delivery by flatbed lorry and crane-fitted lorry, subject to availability and site access. A flatbed delivery generally requires the customer to arrange unloading, while a crane-fitted vehicle may be suitable if you need the unit unloaded at your site.
To check the price, add your chosen product to your basket and enter your delivery postcode. The available delivery options and their prices will be displayed where supported.
How will my flat-pack container or cabin be delivered?
Flat-pack containers and cabins are delivered on a suitable vehicle, depending on your location, the product and your unloading requirements.
We can arrange delivery by flatbed lorry or crane-fitted lorry, subject to access and availability. Please check the delivery details before placing your order to ensure that the chosen option is suitable for your site.
If you are unsure which vehicle you need, contact us and we can help you assess the available options.
How can I check whether a lorry can access my property or business?
Before arranging delivery, it is important to check that the vehicle can safely reach your site and that there is enough space for unloading.
We may ask you to send photographs of the entrance, access road and intended unloading area. Our team can review these images and use mapping tools to help assess whether access is likely to be suitable.
Please provide as much information as possible about narrow entrances, low bridges, overhead cables, restricted roads and other potential obstacles. A site assessment can help identify possible issues, although final access will depend on the actual conditions on the day.
4. Installation and Planning
Do I need foundations for my container or cabin?
Many of our units are designed to rest on their supporting corners, so a full concrete foundation may not always be necessary. However, the correct base depends on the product, its intended use and the conditions at your site.
The ground should be firm, stable and level to provide proper support. For flat-pack containers and cabins assembled on site, make sure all required support points are level before assembly.
We recommend checking the product's installation requirements before preparing your site. Additional groundwork or foundations may be necessary in some situations.
Do I need planning permission?
Planning permission requirements depend on the type of unit, its intended use, its location and how long it will remain on site.
Some containers and portable buildings may not require planning permission, but this is not guaranteed. Factors such as the size and position of the unit, its use, local planning rules and any restrictions affecting the property can make a difference.
If you are unsure, contact your local planning authority before purchasing or installing a unit. You should also check whether any building regulations or other permissions apply to your proposed use.
How do I connect a unit to electricity, water and waste services?
Service connections depend on the type and specification of the unit. Where applicable, our cabins and office units can be supplied with service connection points designed to meet the relevant UK requirements.
Before ordering, check which connections are included with your chosen product. You should also confirm that the unit's connections are compatible with your existing site services.
Installation and connection to electricity, water and waste systems may require qualified professionals. Please contact us if you need clarification about the connections available for a particular unit.
Can I collect my order myself or use my own transport?
Yes. Customer collection is available from our premises, subject to prior arrangement and product availability. Collection is free.
We have a large collection area and forklift equipment on site to assist with loading where suitable. However, you must ensure that your vehicle is appropriate for the product's dimensions and weight and that your transport arrangements meet the necessary safety requirements.
Please contact us before travelling so we can arrange collection and confirm any loading requirements.
5. Storage Containers
Are the container doors easy to open?
Our storage containers are designed for practical, everyday use. They feature door handles and locking mechanisms intended to make opening and closing straightforward.
The ease of operation can depend on the unit's condition, how it has been installed and whether it is positioned on level ground. Keeping the container level and maintaining the door hinges and locking gear will help ensure smooth operation.
Can I add doors or windows to a storage container?
Yes. Additional doors and windows may be available for selected products, depending on the container model and your requirements.
We can also discuss installation as an additional service, where suitable. Please contact us before ordering to confirm the available options, the cost and whether the requested modifications can be made to your chosen unit.
How much does delivery cost for a storage container?
The delivery price depends on your postcode and the type of vehicle required.
To check the cost, select your storage container on our website, add it to your basket and enter your delivery postcode. Available delivery options and prices will be shown where supported.
If you need a crane-fitted lorry or have specific access requirements, please check the available options before placing your order.
What maintenance does a storage container require?
Routine maintenance can help keep your storage container in good condition and extend its service life.
We recommend periodically checking the door hinges, handles and locking mechanisms. Apply a suitable lubricant to moving parts when needed to help prevent stiffness and wear.
Inspect the exterior for scratches, damaged paint or signs of rust, particularly around edges and joints. Clean and treat any affected areas promptly using suitable products to help protect the steel from further corrosion.
Keeping the container clean, checking the roof and seals, and ensuring that rainwater can drain away will also help maintain its condition.
What colours are available for storage containers?
Our storage containers are available in a range of colours, subject to the product and current availability.
The available colour options include:
- Moss Green — RAL 6005
- Jet Black — RAL 9005
- Black Grey — RAL 7021

- Window Grey — RAL 7040
Please check the relevant product page or contact us to confirm which colours are available for your chosen container.
6. Cabins, Modular Offices and Security Cabins
Do your cabins come fully assembled?
Yes. We can supply selected cabins fully assembled, as well as flat-pack options for customers who need a unit that can be transported through restricted access areas.
Depending on the product, we may also be able to arrange an assembly and installation service at an additional cost.
Please check the individual product details or contact us to confirm whether your chosen cabin is available assembled, flat-packed or with an installation service.
Can the components of a flat-pack cabin be moved by hand?
Flat-pack cabins are designed to be transported in separate components, which can make them suitable for sites where a fully assembled unit cannot easily be delivered.
Some components may be manageable by hand, but the weight and size vary. The floor and roof sections are generally the heaviest parts and may require at least four to six capable people to handle them safely, depending on the model.
Always check the product's handling instructions before assembly. Appropriate lifting equipment and safe handling procedures may be necessary. Do not attempt to lift heavy components manually if it would put anyone at risk.
Do sales cabins and kiosks include furniture?
Some of our sales cabins and kiosks include basic fittings, such as a desk and heater, depending on the model and specification.
Additional furniture, including chairs, may also be available to suit your requirements. As the included equipment can vary between products, please check the relevant product page or contact us before ordering to confirm exactly what is included.
What type of portable cabin should I choose?
The best cabin depends on how you intend to use it, the space available and the facilities you require.
Security cabins: These are suitable for gatehouses, entrance points, security personnel and site access control. Different sizes are available to suit a range of locations.
Modular offices: These provide a practical workspace for construction sites, commercial premises and other businesses. Available sizes and configurations can help you choose a unit that suits your team and available space.
Sales cabins and kiosks: These are useful for sales points, ticket offices, reception areas and customer-facing operations. Depending on the model, they may include a desk, heater and other basic fittings.
Welfare units: These can provide facilities for staff on construction sites and other workplaces, depending on the specification selected.
Portable cabins: These offer flexible space for a range of uses, from temporary offices to site facilities.
If you are unsure which option is right for you, contact our team with details of your intended use, available space and required facilities. We can help you identify a suitable product from our range.
