A flat pack storage container is a steel storage unit that arrives in pieces. The walls, roof, floor and doors are packed flat on a pallet. You bolt them together where you want the unit to stand.
The finished container is a strong, lockable room with double doors. It looks like a standard container, but it ships in a much smaller package. That means lower delivery costs and easier access. The parts can go through gates, side passages and tight yards that a built unit could never reach.
Each unit comes with an assembly guide. It is bolted together, so you can take it apart and move it later if your needs change.
Where can you use a flat pack storage container?

Easy to move with forklift pockets
Every container has forklift pockets in the base. If you need to reposition your unit, a forklift can lift it and carry it to a new spot. This is handy on building sites, in yards and anywhere your storage needs may change.
Before you lift, check that the unit is empty and that your forklift can handle the weight.

What sizes of flat pack storage containers are available?
We currently offer 2M, 3M and 4M flat pack storage containers. Each size is suitable for secure storage at homes, businesses, yards, schools, sports clubs and construction sites.
How much do the storage containers cost?
Galvalume containers cost £999.99 for 2M, £1,249.99 for 3M and £1,349.99 for 4M. Any-colour containers cost £1,199.99 for 2M, £1,299.99 for 3M and £1,549.99 for 4M. All prices exclude VAT; delivery is quoted separately.
What can I use a flat pack storage container for?
They can be used for tools, building materials, stock, machinery, sports equipment, garden equipment, bikes and general storage.
How much weight can the floor hold?
The OSB-3 floor is rated for 250 kg per square metre (51.2 lbs per square foot).
Can I move the container with a forklift?
Yes. The base has forklift pockets, so you can lift and move the assembled unit. Empty the container first.
What colours can I choose from?
There are twelve RAL colours, from Moss Green to Traffic Red. Insulated units are not included in the colour range.
Is flat pack delivery useful for restricted access?
Yes. The components can be moved to the assembly position more easily than a fully built container, which makes the format useful for sites with limited vehicle access.
Who should I contact if I experience a problem with a product?

Does galvanized sheet metal rust?
Yes. The zinc galvanizing is a sacrificial protective coating that gradually diminishes as it reacts with environmental conditions. The first sign may be white rust (also known as wet storage stain); if untreated, this can develop into red rust. Refer to the Galvanizing Maintenance Instructions for details.
What should I do if the container door will not close or the lock will not engage?
Door and lock functions are installed and tested at the factory. In most cases, this issue is caused by an uneven floor. Check the floor with a spirit level and place wedges at the bottom corners to level the doors. If the floor cannot be levelled, the bolt holes can be slightly enlarged with a file or drill bit.
What should I do if the mounting holes do not line up?
Check the installation area with a spirit level and follow the assembly guide sequence. The holes should align once the chassis is level. For very small discrepancies, the holes can be adjusted with a file.
Is it normal for light to come through gaps or corners in the panels?
Yes. These products have a modular design, with spot welding and interlocking systems at the trapezoidal sheet metal joints. Slight light leakage is normal because the joints are not fully penetration gas-shield welded. To improve light and dust insulation, you can apply elastic foam tape or neutral silicone between the joints.
Can I connect two or more containers or storage units?
Yes. A special joining or connecting kit is available from the company to connect multiple products side-by-side or back-to-back and create a larger continuous area.
Is it safe to run electrical wiring inside the product?
Inadequate grounding or the presence of a magnetic field can accelerate electrochemical corrosion on zinc-coated galvanized surfaces. Paint areas where electrical wiring will be routed. Do not drill holes in the roof panels to run cables, as this is strongly discouraged and will void the watertightness guarantee.
What should I do if the roof gutters freeze in very cold weather?
The gutters are designed to drain water quickly. Clean leaves, mud and other debris regularly to help prevent freezing. Do not mechanically scrape away frozen ice, as this can damage the coating.
What should I do if I find scratches or damage on a painted or galvanized surface?
Address the damage promptly using the steps in the Maintenance and Repair Instructions, such as cleaning, sanding and applying touch-up paint or zinc spray.
What should I do if water is leaking from the bottom of the product?
Check that the drainage holes under the wall panels are not blocked. Water will drain out as long as these holes remain open.
What should I do if the door is difficult to close or the hinges squeak?
Do not adjust the hinge screws. Apply WD-40 or thin machine oil to stiff or squeaking hinges, then wipe away any excess with a dry cloth.
